Let me tell you about the first time I met Kelly.

I was riding my bike aimlessly around my local area in Cape Elizabeth/South Portland, Maine. It was a lovely late Fall day and I was just enjoying the sunshine and movement. I didn’t have a plan in mind where I wanted to go, I might have had an inclination for Scratch Bakery but don’t we all…

Without thinking too much about it, I realized I was on the greenbelt trail headed right to Bug Light, and when I made the connection of what day it was! It was a Kelly Rich Yoga day! I had recently connected with Kelly over Instagram and planned to go to the yoga class – but I spaced out because I wanted to bike. But the universe still brought me to her just a few minutes before she finished class.

I remember that day well because the positive energy I felt when we met was fulfilling. She made me feel good and connected to the goodness.

She’s pretty much a goddess in my book.

Kelly led my Athleta team through a chakra yoga class at Arcana Healing Arts and she did a tarot card reading for me personally too. It was a wonderful reading that made me cry in a good way.

She is filled with magic, I tell ya. Grab a little of it below.

At least five years.
Can you describe how your career in health & wellness start?
I choose to study a B.S. in Health Science and Holistic Health because it was the “easiest”, and went on to study four more years of pre-med and got my yoga teaching certificate at Kripalu. My vision was to teach yoga while I was in medical school. While I was immersed in boring classes I began having visions of doing other things, and I had the idea to start an outdoor yoga class at Bug Light Park near my house in South Portland. There were 55 people who showed up to my first class. I feel like that moment was when I realized that my ability to help people didn’t rely on how many years of scientific studies I had endured, but by my ability to show up and be me. I declined my offer to study in Oregon and took a different, more fulfilling path.
