Quick check in and update for my lovely friends and family who requested I do a blog post about my new job!
I’m working for Athleta, as their community coordinator for the brand new store opening in the Old Port in Portland, Maine.
The mission of Athleta is to ignite a community of active, healthy and confident, women and girls who empower each other to reach their limitless potential. We believe we are are strong, but united we thrive.
I make that mission come to life in Maine. I’m responsible for cultivating the community vibe inside and outside the store. I plan in store events with local health and wellness professionals to connect our clients with healthy resources and give them a taste of what they are capable of accomplishing.
I ensure events are fun, healthy and helpful. I also collaborate with wellness studios, businesses, and professionals who love our brand and what we stand for. I use community outreach to meet women and girls where they are: at work, at the race or at their favorite studio.
That was super fun to explain – aka I’m the Athleta event planner and it’s the best job ever.
